After School Tutoring - Click Here

If your child has been recommended for Attendance Recovery and/or SOL remediation support, they are invited to participate in our After-school Tutoring Program. This program is designed to help students recover missed school days due to chronic absences and provide targeted support for SOL preparation. Through focused, in-person instruction on core academics, students can regain missed seat time, strengthen foundational skills, and enhance their understanding of key content.

Program Overview (Attendance Recovery)
In accordance with VDOE guidelines, absences can be reduced as follows:

  • K-5 students: Two hours of in-person instruction per day of absence.

  • 6th-grade students: Three hours of in-person instruction per day of absence.

Program Overview (SOL Remediation)
The SOL Remediation Program provides targeted instruction to support students in mastering Standards of Learning (SOL) content in an effort to improve academic outcomes.

Transportation
Families are responsible for transportation from the school at 5:00 p.m.

The Importance of Attendance
Consistent attendance is crucial to your child’s academic success. Each school day offers meaningful learning experiences that support the development of academic skills, social connections, and lifelong learning habits.
